Nothing to do towns?

Alpine Heating and Cooling • January 28, 2020

There was a song that came out in late 2018 by Dylan Scott titled “Nothing to do town”. Over my years of growing up in the Wayne, Holmes and Ashland County areas I’ve heard the sentiment from many people who say “there is nothing to do.” Often times those same people move away only to return a few years later to this area that we call home.

There are numerous small towns dotted throughout the flyover states that I’m sure have some of the same feelings. As we’ve settled in and began the next generation, we’re realizing how much is really out there within a 1-hour drive that I’ve just overlooked. Area’s such as Wooster’s unique downtown dining options, Mohican State Park, or all the small craft shops in Berlin just to name a few.

On top of having great places to visit there are also many, many events throughout the year from BBQ Events to Wine Tastings and everything in between that we can easily miss. Below are links to area events in the Ashland, Wayne & Holmes County areas that could easily pass by and leave you saying “wait, that was last weekend?”

Though things are never perfect we are blessed to live in Northeast Ohio and serve the communities that we do. Thank you to all of our customers and neighbors for your continued support of our business. Here’s and Cheers to a great 2020 !!!

As summers get hotter and technology keeps advancing, the air conditioning systems of the future are being built to do more than just cool your home. They're being designed to think, learn, and save you money—all while being better for the planet. 1. AI Is Changing Everything Artificial Intelligence is becoming a game-changer in home HVAC. Smart thermostats and systems are now using AI to learn your daily habits, predict when you’ll be home, and automatically adjust settings for comfort and efficiency. Some systems can even monitor weather patterns and energy rates to cool your home when it’s cheapest and most efficient. Think of it as comfort on autopilot—with lower utility bills. 2. Smarter Zoning and Voice Control With AI and smart home integration, you’ll be able to cool specific rooms based on usage, control your system with voice commands, and get alerts before something breaks. AI-powered diagnostics are helping technicians fix problems faster and even prevent breakdowns before they happen. 3. Eco-Friendly Refrigerants and Efficiency New AC systems are using refrigerants with a much lower environmental impact while operating more efficiently. Technologies like variable-speed compressors and inverter systems allow your system to run more smoothly, use less energy, and last longer. 4. Solar and Energy Storage Integration Expect to see more systems paired with solar panels and battery storage. These setups reduce your reliance on the grid and make cooling more sustainable—especially during peak summer demand. 5. Cleaner Indoor Air, Automatically Future AC units will come standard with advanced filtration, humidity control, and UV-C light to kill bacteria and viruses—all automatically managed through smart sensors that adjust based on the air quality in your home. Ready for the Future? At Alpine Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Refrigeration , we're keeping a close eye on where HVAC is headed—so you don’t have to. From AI-driven comfort systems to ultra-efficient cooling, we’re here to help you upgrade with confidence. If you are in need of service on your current AC system please give us a call and we'd be glad to begin the process of evaluating your needs along with your budget and coming up with a plan for your heating, cooling & air quality needs.
