Gas Furnace Buying Guide

One of the most difficult things about owning a home can be understanding all the different types of repairs, upgrades, downgrades, etc... that your home may need. We have asked customers on many occasions how much knowledge they have their heating and cooling systems. More often than not the answer is, " Really, nothing... we trust you to tell us".

While that is our job and we are glad to help any customer with any questions they may have we always encourage them to have a basic general knowledge of how their system works and some of the different systems and brands available. If for any reason we are not able to earn their business we still want them to be able to make informed & wise decisions on their homes heating and cooling needs. Saving money today may have many negative consequences down the road not only in your homes comfort but also your wallet. We like to look over the "long haul".

Recently, we found a gas furnace buying guide online by Consumer Reports  that provides some really good basic knowledge and a good starting point for most home owners.

If you are in need of service or preventative maintenance on your current furnace or are evaluating the cost of a new unit please give us a call and we'd be glad to being the process of evaluating your needs along with your budget and coming up with a plan for your heating and cooling needs.
