New Year, New System? Not so fast… (Rant Included)

January 4, 2022

Repair or Replace is a question we often get from our customers. We know this is an area that separates us from other Heating & Cooling Contractors. We go to the meetings, we hear the “sales pitches” and the “How To’s” of selling and we’ll be honest. Most of it doesn’t sit well with us.

I’m guessing if you own a property and you’ve had a contractor come out to diagnose/repair your Furnace or AC you’ve experienced “That Guy”. The guy that looks at your system for 5 minutes and says “Well, it’s an older system, it needs replaced. Sadly, it’s the easy way out for most Heating & Cooling guys as it’s the quick solution and pads their pockets.

How would they like to take their car to get worked on and the only need is a new alternator and the answer they get is “You should just trade it in on a new one”. Probably not so good!

While sometimes the best answer for the customer is replacing their system so that you don’t throw money down the drain however at the end of the day, we all wanted to be treated fairly. If you can fix it, fix it. If you can’t, give a quote to replace. Seems simple and while that’s our approach, it’s not the industry’s approach. We can guarantee that. (Rant Over 😊)

Our techs and installers are not compensated for sales. They are paid a good wage and benefits for the value they bring and are told from Day 1 to “Do the right thing”. We have a great group of employees that we are thankful for, and we believe if they come to your home or office you will be just as pleased. While we’re not perfect our goal is “Do the right thing” and we ask you choose us for your Heating & Air Conditioning needs in the future.
